USA: Fuzzy Math in Hospital Ratings for Kids

USA: Okay, it shouldn’t be this hard for parents to get reliable performance data on a hospital’s outcomes for young patients. But it is. This new report states that all those ratings numbers – the ones hospitals tout in their ads – are mostly meaningless. A crap shoot. A roll of the dice. Inexcusable. The public deserves a truthful account about the level of care hospitals have decided is “good enough” for their customer base. What the public doesn’t need is more spin. Thanks to Frederik Joelving for this Reuters Health Information report.
