MICHIGAN: Brian McKenna Is Spot On

Posted on August 30, 2011

I saw this article by Brian McKenna today on Counter Punch. It’s a fantastic report filled with zinging one-line patient encounters with the US healthcare system. This article, originally written for The Society of Applied Anthropology, makes a case for a widespread study of patient-reported outcomes in every nook and cranny of the country – which is the idea we’ve been pursuing here at HealthCare PSI. It’s a massive undertaking, and would take a huge collaboration. I am certain that we will grow into it at some point. For now, it is good to see others circling this same notion. Read the article. Then click the link at the bottom of the piece to view the original pdf version (complete with picture!) from the Society’s most recent journal. I look forward to reading more from Brian McKenna.
