USA: RWJF Launches New Hospital/Physician Reporting Site

Posted on June 28, 2011

USA: The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation today debuted a brand new interactive website that shows – by state – publicly available performance data for hospitals and physicians. Keep in mind that much of this data is self-reported and therefore heavily spun, but it is still another tool patients can use to make informed choices about the healthcare systems they want to use. Of course, in an emergency personal choice goes out the window, and that fact should terrify informed patients coast-to-coast. But I digress… I’ve included the new RWJF site on our website’s page of Hospital Ratings data, so you can always find it there. Thank you RWJF for realizing that a push for hospital transparency and public accountablity is our best, fastest course for improving patient care.
