USA: Think Outpatients Are Safer Than Inpatients?

USA: Think again. This new study published in JAMA says that while patient safety efforts are almost exclusively focused on inpatient care, outpatients are being killed and injured by preventable medical harm at an alarming rate. Just because you don’t spend the night, doesn’t mean you are out of danger. Patients beware.
